well it will take you longer to complete as engineering is 4 years and commerce is 3 years. Not sure if eng and law are a good combination though, wont take you real far, buts its up to you.

From what I hear, it's good if you want to go into patency law and that kind of thing. Probably a good background for building and construction law too, although it's highly dependant on what engineering field you specialise in.

In the end, go with something you're interested in. No use doing a program you don't like because it has better 'career prospects' - in the end, if you bomb it because you hate it, your prospects are shattered anyway.

Oh yeah, and don't do engineering if you hate mathematics. I've seen some of the stuff they do and it scares me.

Both are good combos. As long as you stay away from the arts/law combo you are doing well I think.
