My topic for Ext 1 is the outsider and we're doing hearts of darkness by conrad
its such a boring book
my teacher tell me once we go through and analyse it, it will be so much better
i wonder...

so what courses are you guys doing and what topics/themes are u doing?

We're doing Change too, doing the novel "Catcher in the Rye". Pretty interesting so far.

Oh, I read Frankenstein, it was so bloody boring as well. I hate how dreary they make the writing. Stupid Mary Shelley.
I'm reading it right now. Whenever i feel bored, i just re-read the letters at the start and i continue reading. Otherwise i'll probably fall asleep. :)

I'm doing Keats.

Very emotional guy, but so godamn hard to interpret! In every line of his "Great Odes" there around 10 different language features to identify, and its never, ever, clear.

Adv eng - short stories n change

Ext eng - modernism n post modernism
For advanced, I'm doing short stories (about to conclude) and about to start on change.

Extension, I'm doing satire at the moment, as well looking at feminism. But we've touched on modernism and post modernism.

So wow freaky coincidence, orrrr... we might attend the same school.

Extension - Utopia/Specfiction (is that who you spell it?), pretty boring so far. Most of the class hates it.
