Hey guys, I got my english paper tommorow and our year is doing 'Away' as our prescribed text , we are expected to relate to 2 stimulus texts and 2 related texts

my related texts: '2061; oddysey three (novel) & ironman splash page (image)'
my stimulus texts: the town where time stood still & wind in the willows

I seem to have most of it covered except 'the town where time stood still, I did do a bit of a search and found scattered notes but I got no idea how I'm going to link it to away and wind in the willows (but i can easily for journeys)
I can't seem to find any consistnency in it =/

My question is that because I'm going to be include 5 texts all up, should my second stimulus (the town where time stood still) only be like 1/2 a page ? I very heavily related wind in the willows to my prescribed text

Should I link my related text AND stimulus text to journeys ?

Is the related text meant to be compared just like stimulus to prescribed text? or is related text more aimed at having same idea of journeys?

This is the way you should go about the essay part.

1. The most emphisis should be on your Prescribed Text
2. You should select a variety of texts for the rest. Don't use two pictures or two song lyrics. Each text should be different.

The excel book says not to do each text seperatly, instead you should define the journey throughout the essay using intertextuality.

Yep I've linked them hard, ill post you guys it once ive typed it up - I have used for my related text an image and a novel

So far ive structured mine like this
Introduction 1/2 page
Away 2.5 pages
Wind in the willows 1 page
Link of Away & wind of the willows 1 paragraph
The town where time stood still 3/4 page
Linking of away, wind in the willows and town where time stood still 1/4 of a page
Related text 1; ironman oz 3/4 page


not sure now how Im going to link it, The good thing is I can link it to say its opposite of something else!

Ah, how long is it? : | At the moment, depending on how long your pages are and how fast you write of course, it seems like you're going to take the whole 2 hours to write an essay that long.

I made my second related text about half a page and my conclusion half a page

Im going to go back and refine the whole essay (type it up), last time I did that I went from 5 pages to like 3 pages (I found myself repeating myself)

I took good care to NOT repeat myself, If I can't find too many things too repeat then I'll summarise and maybe even cut out techniques, I went very very indepth with away ...

With my creative responses its only 3-4 pages expected, I can probably spend about 5 minutes less on that and 5 minutes less on my first section, 50 minutes should be enough for 6 pages (assumg I can get it down that far)
