english standard/advanced scaling (1 Viewer)

UAC says eng. standard & advanced scales as one group - that means people who are doing english advanced are disadvantaged, am i right?

no. they use paper 1 to determine the standards of the people in both courses as a way of standardising the scaling for the modules paper for standard. it means they can compare standard and advanced better. last year noone in standard got band 6. while in advanced there was about 8%
