Did i goof or nah? Does it matter whether I enrol the Spring season earlier or later?

Nope, not at all. Simply add them on my student record, just as you did for your AUT units before the census date (31 March). Unlike UTS and similar institutions, WSU allow you to create your preferred timetable at the start of every semester rather than creating your timetable for the whole year. So, no loss at all.
