If you need to enrol in a 3UOC Gen ed in session 2, can I enrol in a Gen ed that is on during X1, X2 or S1?? Or is it just restricted to S2 gen ed only?

Do you know what I'm saying??

I'm allowed to juggle all my electives and gen eds around with CSE, should check with the science faculty to see if you're allowed to do this as well.

ed: my understanding is that it doesn't matter because as long as you meet the requirements of your degree (like xxx uoc of subjects) it doesn't matter. Don't quote me on that one.

You can pretty much do gen eds as overloads in other semesters, but you can't do a gen ed IN s2 which is ONLY on in s2. They don't run gen eds in all sessions.

anti meant that if a particular gen ed you wanted is only offered in session 2, you can't expect it to be there in other sessions.

Ok, I get what anti meant now. of course, gen ed runs the same way as normal courses. some runs in S1, some in S2, X1, X2....

So it IS possible to do Gen ed courses in X1 for this year's class even though X1 for this year is pretty much over.

oops, sorry, posting when i'm really tired... :)

there's a cutoff date for enrolment in X1 just like the other sessions, so no, you can't do any X1 subjects in 2004.

Just to confirm what sunny as saying, you can do your degree in any order you want, as long as you have the pre-reqs for each subject. You could do all your Gen Eds in the last session of your course if you wanted to, so doing a gen ed in a summer/winter session is acceptable ...
