VERY IMPORTANT: private tutoring

anyone up for some tutoring to help them through their studies? boost marks?..

subjects: Biology (The Human Story), Chemistry (Shipwrecks and Salvage), Physics (Medical Physics), Mathematics Extension 2, Advanced English (Samuel Taylor Coleridge poems - imaginative journeys)

Location: Parramatta region, but this can easily be negotiated

Price: 40/hr but again, depending on circumstance, negotiable.

Resources: complete hand-written notes for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics extension 1 and 2; typed notes for English; three boxes of past trials and HSC papers, most with solutions; a pretty healthy selection of reference books (great for the sciences); vital examination preparation and technique; myself

Credentials: just finished the HSC, unemployed so lots of spare time and energy to devote, previous tutoring experience in 2002/3 and 2005.

Raw trial examination results:

1/144 Advanced English - 96%
1/46 Mathematics Extension 1 - 100%
3/15 Mathematics Extension 2 - 82%
1/42 Biology - 94%
1/41 Chemistry - 95%
1/41 Physics - 92%

University Admissions Index (UAI): 99.9

plus a lot of students want to know how you went in the hsc overall too - trials aren't necessarily as good an indicator of how you'll go coz some schools massively inflate inschool marks and thus kids do shitty in the actual HSC or vice versa eg my school, kids got 40s/50s in chem trial but ended up with high 80s and 90s

so just give it a bit of time:) and post up ur hsc results too when u get em

its not - bumping up threads just obscures new posts without, generally speaking, creating much interest apart from 'stop bumping up the thread.' A much better way is to attach a line to your sig saying what you tutor: then people will be able to see from the quality of your posts in the relevant forums whether you're worth hiring as a tutor.

i dont post in any specific forum(s).. and i dont specialise in any particular subject, e.g. english.. (hence why i offer tutoring in a range of subjects)
