In school we were taught to do this:
Intro
Paragraph one (examine prescribed text solely)
Paragraph two (examine related text 1 solely)
Paragraph three (examine prescribed text solely)
Paragraph four (examine related text 2 solely)
Paragraph five (examine prescribed text solely)
Conclusion
This is done for most of our essays, my question is:
Do we need to relate and compare the texts with each other?
Or can we just examine each text in turn? (Which is what we've been doing)
