Today i sat my first trial exam being the AOS paper. I thought I went very well in all sections until someone told me that the last section was not in the form of a essay but a speech. I guess I didnt read the question properly. I had a heap of content and related it to the question very well (basically memoring the essay my teacher said i would of gotten 15/15). Is it possible for me to still get minimum around 13/15 with the improper form. I did hold some sort of speech voice though explaining why journeys are significant and etc.

help!!! im stressing :(

Generally speaking, you probably shouldn't get any higher than a 10. However, remember this is an internal assessment and many factors affect the marking. Teacher bias, for example, can sometimes work in favour of u and they may make an exception. That is, if your usually a very high achiever. Also, some teachers mark according to what they think you will get in the hsc rather than solely marking according to your actual work. So there is still some hope. Just make sure u don't do the same thing in the HSC!

I was told teachers only give out 2-3 marks for format so you
could still get a high mark

Well, I'm in year 11 so take my opinion with a grait of salt.

But so far my essay marks have been (all out of 15 by the way)
14, 14.5, 13, 14, 13

And then just today I recieved my Othello essay back, in which we were meant to write in the format of a letter.

My letter was very 'essay' like in that I didn't structure my response fractionally close to how it shouldve been (ie. in the format of a letter).

I was capped at 9/15. Saying 2-3 marks applies only for structure is incorrect, especially when applying your knowledge TO structure is essentially half the battle.

Well in the trials i wrote my speeches module as an essay, not a letter as the question specified. I still got 16/20 (ALthough wasnt as good as my other marks)
