Please help! I'm having some troubles with part of my biology assignment.

Prepare a case study to show how an environmental change can lead to changes in a species.

We can choose any species we like. i didn't think information would be hard to find but it is. I have information on a few different species but it's really isn't going anywhere. Does anyone know a species that i can find information on Environmental changes that lead to its evolution?

Thanks

What are the different species do you have information on?

ummm THE RED KANGAROO!

basically, millions and millions of years ago the kangaroo was much smaller than today, this was because the vegetation in Australia happenedto be highly nutritious and so they didnt haveto consume much in order to meet their daily needs, nutrion-wise, the fact that the Australia was rather more tropica during those times, the main vegetation were like rainforests and so on and the fact that it was good-quality vegetation they didtn require specialised teeth to break down the foods.

so over time, Australia experienced dramatic decreases in rainfall= aridity= change in vegetation, as poor quality grass became the dominant source of food for the kangaroos, rainforests were reduced down to shit quality grass= an increase in kangaroo size as to how they would have to consume much larger quantities of grass in order to compensatethe shitness of grass, which also lead to the evolution of specialised slicing pre-molars and molar teeth taht enabledthem to break down the rough texture of the grass!

im pretty sure this is right, i coudl be wrong in some parts but yeah its from what i can remember atm!
