Exam questions: Key concepts & groups (1 Viewer)

Ive noticed as Ive been reading through the threads that many of you have noticed the exam questions have always incorporate a key feature (usually a time period or event), with one of the key groups (civilians, women etc) or concepts (communism, imperialism etc). The exam question will always ask this, because they want to see your analysis skills, not that you can recite from a textbook. This type of question requires you to 'bridge the gap' yourself, thus sorting out the able from the not-so-able

But yes you are right, they want to reward people who have learnt the information rather than just memorised it
