HSC
2013
99.75 ATAR. 96 UMAT. UNSW Medicine. Dedicated and experienced tutoring for English, Chemistry, Mathematics, UMAT, Medicine Interviews.

Hi, my name is Eric Xu, and I graduated from Sydney Boys High School in 2013, currently in my third year of Medicine at UNSW.

The HSC can be a tough and difficult time; having been through it AND taught many students from various backgrounds, I understand the anxiety for those about to go into Year 12, and those who are already there. However, the way to 'beat' the HSC is to understand its principles. When you thoroughly understand a topic, the whole subject becomes easier - the HSC is very knowledge-based, and once you have learnt the fundamentals, you can apply this to any question.

I also run Medicine and Dentistry Interview training, as well as UMAT help. From personal experience, I understand and empathise with the stress of getting into these degrees. Having an experienced guide who can give you that edge and confidence boost really goes a long way. I will step you through what interviewers look for, in addition to a mock interview and common questions or scenarios.

Due to popular demands in 2016, I am starting up group lessons of 3-4. Discounts apply.

$60/h, mainly Lidcombe area, around UNSW, and sometimes Hurstville/Sutherland.

Subjects completed:
English Advanced, English Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 2, Chemistry, Latin Continuers, Latin Extension, Accelerated Modern History

Marks:
ATAR 99.75. UMAT 96. Sydney Boys High HSC 2013. SBHS Merit List, ranked top 10 in all subjects and overall.

First in Mathematics for several years in Sydney Boys. Received the Regional Director’s Award (highest award in SBHS).

HSC:
English: 94
English 3U: 48
Chemistry: 93
Maths 2U: 98
Maths 3U: 98
Maths 4U: 98

Experience:
I’ve now had over 4 years of tutoring experience working in private tuition, voluntary peer mentoring in a top selective school (Sydney Boys) and tutoring companies like Talent 100. I am therefore able to incorporate my personal teaching styles with students’ needs, as well as the most efficient content, to ensure my students receive the best help possible.

My lessons are flexible and tailored to each individual student’s needs eg students can bring in their own homework or textbooks, and alternatively I can further provide work, exam papers.

I am quite busy during weekdays due to my Medicine degree, however I will try my best to accommodate and put my students first. I am an avid believer of putting my students first and foremost. I always like to maintain a relaxed atmosphere to facilitate an enriching learning experience.
