ok so soon we will be asked to choose our subjects for year 12, and i have kind of set my mind so as to do 4 unit, i have also been requested when i asked my teacher to do it. my question is so i want to get a head start should i buy all the extension two books now or like wait until we start the subject as school, and then buy it just in case it is too hard.

Are you confident that you will keep it? Those books are sure expensive.

Unless you like nice new books or have a lot of $$, buy them second hand or borrow them from the school/library. It's much cheaper that way.

i cant really wait until the year 12s sell their books so secound hand isnt an option, and i dont like online shopping. my library doesn't have these books although my teacher do have a copy for themselves.

Make sure you don't buy books your school already has. I would suggest Terry Lee/Cambridge. Fitzpatrick is a bit generalised for the first few topics.

Try and find a friend with the book already and get their PDF document. That's what i'm doing (and i have my sources :p). Btw Maths in Focus is pretty awesome too.

Maths in Focus sucks. No joke.

Fitzpatrick...is generally a rip off, despite how good the 2U and 3U books are. It's not -that- great for 4U, in my opinion.
