I'm deciding on whether to continue to pursue a co-major in Finance or to complete my double major in Financial Economics. I'd appreciate it if u could help me out.
Firstly, what is financial economics and wat is the difference between Finance and Financial Economics? Does Finance place more emphasis on application while Financial Economics place more emphasis on theory?
Secondly, is Financial Economics more quantitatively demanding? (ie, is there more maths)? Which would better complement a major in Actuarial Studies?
Thirdly, which major will lead to better job prospects? to employers do u think they seem the same?
Fourthly, which is more difficult? Is it easy to get high marks) Is it easier to get into honours for FInancial Economics?
thanx
