Some 3rd yr fins subjects (like fins3641) have assessments mostly made up of assignments and NO final exam. Isnt that a little weird?

Wierd no. But I prefer the actuarial heavy weigthing of final exams. Personally I think its appropriate. Given the amount of copying involved with actuarial assignments, its the only 'fair' way to assess.

As for actuaries being tightarses....

No-one calls me at 1230 because I won't pick up. Sleep is good

doing the 2001 assignment was the 1st time i chucked an all-nghter :\

as for assessments being fair.. its all relative, you got to look at the perspective of the copier and the copy-ee im sure the majority knows whats best
