Flickering Screen (1 Viewer)

The screen of my laptop has flickered recently. It's not frequent but it's still a bother when I'm trying to do work or anything else.

what's usually the problem related to that?

Right-click on the desktop, click properties, then settings -> advanced -> monitor. Somewhere there is the screen refresh rate. Set it at 60 hertz.

what does it mean when the only option in the drop down menu for that is "use hardware default setting"?

Exactly, If your monitor is working fine there is absoultely no need to touch the setting.

If it is not however then maybe there is reason to alter settings....

Right click on desktop, select properties, select settings tab. What is the resolution and colour quality set to? What is the graphics adapter (listed under the images of monitor(s) )?

Now click the advanced button select the monitor tab, can you determine the reresh rate at all?

With those numbers we should be able to suggest some alternate combinations to try and maybe fix the problem. Eg reducing resolution but boosting refresh rate.
