General maths issue
Help, I have an issue, last year I didn't get a chance to do my general maths 2 assessment because I was sick and failed to provide a medical certificate which was worth 20%. However I did my half yearlies exam an I got 31% which was bad considering 50% of the people doing the course got below 50% and was worth 30%.
What am I risking myself?
What can I do?
What percentage should I get for my second assessment and trials.
Is there a chance I can still get band 5 or 6?

Thank you:

At this stage I think realistically it is unlikely for you to get a band 5/6 ( i.e above 80%) during the external HSC.

I strongly advise you to look at the historical data of your schools performance in General Maths ( i.e proportion that got specific bands)

What rank are you currently? What percentages are other people in your cohort doing General Maths?

Its also possible ( However very unlikely) that your school just sets ridiculously hard exams.

Consider getting a tutor or doing a lot more maths practice, and hypothetically you may be still able to get a band 5.

Good luck, and all you can do now is to push yourself to work a look hardier and more efficiently.
