I have a problem with this question i can do the first part in which i had to put in the form of exularary method... but part (ii) i dont understand what i have to do... well here it is...

Find the General Solution to sin x - Root3 cos x = 2 divided over root2

what it mean general solution ?

yeah, like the general form, ie for:

sin@: pi*n+(-1)^n . arcsin@
cos@: 2pi.n +- arccos@
tan@: pi.n + arctan@

hey one way where u can find general solution is to find the pattern by finding eg the first 4 solutions which are the same ... eg 20 and 380 are the same etc (this is in degrees)


otherwize if u cant b bothered (this isnt very good advice if u want 98+ in the hsc for X1) but just memorise the 3 general solutions and substitiute in the degrees.

Probably because there's a difference between understanding a formula and memorising it.
