It was a little more difficult than past papers. For the first long answer I did work and leisure, and for the next I did pop culture. I found I was almost struggling to come up with relevant examples for the popular culture one, given the question.

Definitely agree that it was harder than past papers, at least 2013-2011. Those essay questions for Popular Culture and Belief Systems were pretty disgusting.

What strategies did people use for the 9 marker?
Vietnam - gain independence. So they fought with the french/america in order to manage the changes in values created by their domination. Vietnamese people able to restore their nationalism, a value at the core of the vietnamese system, and retain their culture.

A girl in my cohort did the policy of doi moi.

Band 6 cut off? I'm guessing 83-85 seeing as it was harder.

Theres nine marks gone for me...I wrote about feasibility studies and India I was completely thrown off by that question. I feel pretty confident with the rest of the paper except for a few multiple choice questions.

I don't think the band 6 cutoff will be higher than 86 considering how most people I've talked to sturggled with the 9 marker and MC
Well I hope so, I think I could have made 86+ raw.

What band do you reckon you guys are looking at?

Guys, what did you write for the POP culture 20 marker? I found that pretty difficult.

The question was:

To what extent is the perceptions of one popular culture controlled by marketers, governments and family.

It was so difficult. It was a generalisation though. You had to speak about POP as a whole.

Most likely a mid to a high band 5. I did not like that exam. It was difficult.

I just broke it down into paragraphs so one for marketers, one for the government and one for family in regards to teen film as a popular culture...it wasn't the best question but I knew alot about control and censorship so I think that was my best section of the entire exam
