To what extent did the rise of the NSDAP evoke the collapse of the Weimar Republic?
During the period 1929-33, the Weimar Republic began to significantly lose support from the German public due to their lack of management of the economic, social and political problems that arose. The NSDAP's ability to expose these grievances to discontented groups of society ultimately played a signifcant part in the collapse of the Weimar Republic as it became clear that an authoritarian figure needed to take control of German and unify it. It can therefore be stated that the NSDAP evoked the collapse of the Weimar Republic by offering the unification of Germany and the ability to solve all its problems.
