Getting a Job with a degree. WAM questions (1 Viewer)

Hey,

I started an engineering degree in unsw for one semester before discontinued the degree and went for economics (so less than 1 yr of degree done). My WAM for this one semester of engo was around 20 (I was a total tool, the course was hard, and I didn't try.)

Anyway, if I now average say 65-70 WAM in my eco course will my future employer care for my 20 WAM in that one sem of engo even though its a completely different degree? or does the WAM carry on anyway.

If so will this have a major effect on my employment probability? (this is what im very worried about, I feel like i've screwed up my life with one stupid semester in very 1st yr of uni)

Just explain it and youll be fine. But make sure you do study hard, as most people say they will improve and never do.

i think if you are honest and explain you should be okay, but there are bound to be some people who dismiss you for such low marks in one semester, fair or otherwise.
