getting citizenship & HECS-HELP (1 Viewer)

just wondering if anyone knows about this / has done it in the past...
i started in 2005 semester 1 under HECS, but im only a permanent resident so I can't get HECS-HELP. if i become a citizen now, can i transfer to HECS-HELP?

To set your mind in peace........ yes u are eligible to change, once u become an australian citizen which is like 2 yrs after PR (law may change later) u can go up to the administration at ur uni and fill in the hecs form where u can chooose to pay upfront or obtain hecs-help. Hope this helps.
