Hi guys, I really need help with this song, I don't see how it links to the global village apart from Hollywood and Carlifornifaction.

I suppose there are a couple of links to globalisation; e.g. 'little girls from sweden dream of silver screen quotation'. 'The sun may rise in the east at least it settles in the final location'. I think a lot of the lyrics might be pointing more to how california epitomises western influence over the rest of the world, yet it has a lot of problems itself ('teenage brides') that kinda thing. But I have no idea how that could fit into the context of your module
