What casestudies are you guys using for the globalisation topic. What excalty do we need to know? what stats? Can anyone post any info or good websites about case studies for globalisation.

you need to know a global case study on either australia or another country, but preferably both...you never know what will turn up.
basically for global you need to know:
- labour movements
- investment movements
- financial movements
- trade movements
- technology movements
- international business cycle....for the case study you're doing.

here is a fun filled fact

global trade has grown from 3.7 trillion (US dollars) to 12.5 trillion...dont ask from what year ot what year. I dont know. Useless post? You bet

i remember in one hsc in the essay section they had a choice where u write about how globalisation has effected Aust OR another economy
but if u look in the syllubus it says "students SHOULD know about one other economy" so technically they shouldnt include it in the hsc as for everything else the syllubus says 'MUST'

im not gonna even bother studying it coz if its a choice between 2 essays ill just do the latter

we learnt about ireland tho

but if u really want to know about it just look at the criteria too lazy mentioned in google (they have everything)

They can ask specifically about another economy if they want - they dont have to give the option of talking about Australia

Thing is, you to choose which question to take for essays and if a question on another economy comes up all you gotta do is choose the other option. Well that's what I'm planning, not gonna try cram stuff unrelated to the rest of the course

get a copy of the syllabus and look under topic one in the sub heading of "impacts of globalisation".... you need to know all of those points for your case study.

also, you should learn about the impact of globalisation on the economic performance of the other economy i.e. its impact on economic growth, unemployment, inflation, external stability, distribution of wealth and the environment.

while these are similar, there are some differences that need to be noted (e.g. last years HSC question, where most people just rehashed their globalisation essay). if you know your case study under the points mentioned above you will be sweet

and you should also know gov policies that help the global process for your country
