just wondering if you people have any suggestions on what to do if you want to go ahead of your class, and making the most out of your classtime.

Because next year i only have chemistry, english and physics (accelerated 4unit maths, and the rest dropped :))

now all the teachers for these 3 subject is absolut slowness and lameness :(.

If i read a book and go ahead by myself in class, i'd be labeled nerd by the others, and teachers might feel offended that i'm not listening to them, and go by the book instead.

Listening to teacher is very slow, and i'd most likely already know, since i'll be hardcore studying. On other notes, listening to the lessons will be utter worthlessness.

Bludging, or doing nothing and chatting is sin :(

So what do i do??

Listen to your teacher, do all the normal classwork that would be required of you and then go further and do your own thing.

If you're planning on being that far ahead, treat the lessons like revision.

What about talking to your teacher about this...? Or just get the syllabus off him first...
You're going to have to read the textbook sometime to learn the new stuff, so you might be able to do extra questions instead or something...

Review tommorows work at home.

Listen to techer in class to make sure you truly understand (especially in the sciences) and for extra revision. No one will think your a nerd and you can actually 'learn' from the teacher.

then you dont get in trouble with teach
ps dont worry if people think you are a nerd - who cares. you will kick their ass in the HSC

depends on the teacher... some are really cool for you to go ahead of the rest, and will encourage you, as well as give you additional resources and texts that are more in depth and detailed.
