This was realeased a fre days ago, i just remeberd to get it.

Google beat microsoft and yahoo to it.

You can now use google to index and search the files on your computer. It is
alot faster than the search included with windows.

i don't know how big the index will get (i have big harddrives) but, i will see
over the next few weeks.

anyone else used it?

EDIT: now that i think of it, google will prolly use aim as their chat protocal since this only searches aim history

How cool would that be. Expand out to house too ...

I cna't get google search (MacOSX), but I am happy to wait for Apple's own verion. I expect it will be faster than the google one (as will WinFS search be, I imagine).

if google can index your whole harddrive and since the searching operation is done over the net, isn't there a breach of privacy?
