We are doing Gwen Harwood as part of Change of Self

Anyhow, I was wondering, how exactly are they going to examine us on her?
Will they give us the poem and we just go 'well, this is about change bc bullshit bullshit bullshit.."

Or will it be more like 'link to one Harwood poem'

Do we have to know about the all the poems? If not, how many do we have to know indepth?

Is she a major part of the exam, or fairly minor

She fits in part 3 of paper one. This is the section where you have to write an extended response i.e.. essay, feautre article etc...
You have to include: - 1 thing from the BOS stimulus booklet
- Harwoods poems (probably about two)
- And piece/s of related material, look at how many they specify in the question.

I think you should know three in depth so you can choose the best ones to suit the question.

you can get practice questions

"like change is inevitable" talk about this discussing your prescribed text, one text from the stimulus and realted texts

so in this example you would do two harwoods, a stimulus (Eg.the door, sky high) and two related materials

is that what you mean?

btw... the board of studies hasn't done it yet, and it's fairly unlikely that they will... but my english teacher said that they could refer to a specific gwen harwood poem (eg. father and child) so you need to know all 6 of them...

i doubtj that coz remember that there are all these other texts that other people do and the exam has to cater for them as well.... also if they do that it'll be unfair to us and it will be hard for them to maintain fairness b/w us and the others.
