Ok, i wanted to get this straight, those who come into UNSW in 2005 means that they are not affected by the 25% HECS increase, but if they continue in the forthcoming years ie. 06, 07 the 25% applies?

If you start under low HECS you stay under low HECS ...

i was under the impression where once the new system comes into play, no matter if you are in uni already or going to start uni, the system applies for everyone

I thought that as well.. thought the cost of hecs will increase by 25% each year until it diverges into infinity?!?

Read the info posted on my.UNSW somewhere..

If you are a current student now, the 25% increase wont apply, ONLY the normal indexation every year. For incoming students in 2005, the 25% increase will apply from 2006
