Ok, I downloaded some audiomixer program and installed it. It then said I needed directX9.0 - which I couldnt be bothered getting. So sure enough, my PC fucked up and I decided to restart it. All which comes up is the gay blue screen with 'Windows xP' written on it. No user login options or any other writing.

So I ask you, how do I get past this blue beast?

I've tried pressing F8 ans starting in safe mode, but it ends up at thr blue logon screen with the strupid 'Windows XP' logo.

Any ideas?

ps - im doing this off my dads laptop and i realise this would be better suited to the IT frum, but since everyone is online in this forum most of the time, i decided to ask her.

Please help asap.

Can you be more descriptive of the blue screen? only the words "Windows XP"?

Have you tried F8 then "last known working configuration" or something along those lines.

Well, the blue screen which normally appears when you log on. With the user profiles on the right side. Except this time, there is only a Windows XP logo.

I tried pretty much all of the F8 options, but they all come to this screen.

That's a strange one... cause safe mode should bypass all startup's.

sorry you'll have to wait for help from someone else.

I tried to reboot it a few times.

But then I found some site which aid I had to disable my hard drive when reading for Boot Disks. I did so and just installed Windows again. A bit laggy, but its all good.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway.
