Hey all,
I need help about that little box blue next to me...
Yup it's a NETGEAR 4 Port Ethernet Hub (Model EN 104)
I was just unplugging and arranging the coaxial cables and now my computer A, doesn't connect to computer B (which acts as a firewall). All cables are flashing (means working yes?)
Now my computer only connects with the main computer when I put my hub in "Uplink" mode.
How do I fix it? Is it okay to put it in Uplink mode all the time?
There's no reset button whatsoever for the Hub, should I shut down all the computers and try again?
btw I just checked.. the "BNC" is "Active".. whatever that is.

I have no idea about IT stuff so please help me out here!! :(
Thanks a lot!

Ok you need to explain exactly how the cabling was set up eg Computer a to port x etc and how it is now.

N/A
check what ports you have plugged the cables into. the uplink port is typically used for connecting hubs (ie chaining 2 or more hubs together), so dont plug the cables into that, unless its the last one. if its a hub (vs a switch) and you plug the cables into the ports it should "just work".

You need to look to see whether the cables you are using are UTP or Cross-Over cables.
