Hi Guys 🫠
i have questions for my legal prelim tmr:
- How do mark allocations work for short answers? I feel like I’m overwriting and I know it’s peel but how many evidence and link should I use for each mark?
- can I just have three body paragraphs in essay? ik my essay topic is smth about law reform but can I just discuss three legislation points and have a lot of evidence like media and stats for each of them?
- is it viable to do a strong stance and in each body paragraph just say the contradictory point and disprove it? Like the method with two conflicting arguments and mixed conclusion?
Tyy for any answers

1. it really depends, get ur teachers to mark for ur responses and tell you. for each mark its just 1 piece of evidence in short answer generally
2. 3 body paragraphs is perfectly fine. i see alot of people say do 4, but i dont think its necessary, you can get 25/25 easily with 3.
3. absolutely. this is what gets you the marks. your "however" statement in each body paragraph is absolutely essential. so yes, absolutely viable - always have a contradictory point with evidence. but make sure ur contradictory point is not too strong if u know what i mean, your contradictory point only needs to have 2 pieces of evidence and be a few sentences, and thats it. as long as it's there and it's clear in showing where your strong stance falls short, you'll get the marks.
