help! mysterious pictures that appear in my computer.... (1 Viewer)

uh, so i have a lot of music and all....

and i get all the pictures of the cd's the music belong to

and i hate them because they take up space

what do i do to prevent them from popping up?

do you use windows media player?
the pics shouldnt take up too much space, hardly any in fact

yeah i do use windows media player....

hardly yes, but i'd rather none cuz they mix up the artist etc. eg: for all those songs without pictures, they've all been labelled as being by "1200 Techniques" no matter how much a try to change it back to whatever who REALLY sings the song....

and so the details of the song eventually get screwed over.

btw i have windows xp professional

to go tools > options > and click on the library tab, and uncheck the box that says "retreive additional info from the internet" or something like that, and then click the "privacy" tab and uncheck the "update music files" box

thats why yuo should use winamp.

those pictures are in heaps of songs, why bother getting rid of them, they are hidden anyway

Thats part of the auto tagging. iTunes and Winamp dont do it but I dont know about other players since I dont use them.
