Firstly Q2 of the 2001 HSC paper

I dont understand how to figure this out, I know it involves the use of the right hand rule so dont just say use the right hand rule, thankyou.

Also Q23 b ii from the 2002 paper

I dont remember learning this in physics ( is it anywhere in the jacaranda text book?)
