Unlike pmtennis, i've chosen to do crim instead of contract this year.

With crim A, we get so much prescribed reading from compulsory as well as optional textbooks that it is literally impossible to read all of it. What do forego and what do i read? what aspects of the course should i particularly focus on?

How does one prepare notes for crim??

We have a class test on criminal procedure coming up, how should i tackle this?

any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Help with Crim A

Read: Brown et al
Focus on: He Kaw Teh + whatever substantive offences you cover + the broad aims and methods of the criminal law

That should get you by.

my crim law lecturer told us last year that cases with huge extracts in the materials & commentary book should be read. the rest, you may choose to get only the essence. some cases are just examples of principles being applied.

as for the optional textbooks, if you have extra time.

on preparing notes, check this book from your library:
Mastering Law Studies & Law Exam Techniques, Richard Krever
