Well it depends, are you going to be doing Beginners Japanese in Year 12?
If you are, then I suggest you invest in a couple of good textbooks to help you along the way. A dictionary might help too.

Here's a couple of websites that have material that can help you.

http://www.manythings.org/japanese/
http://www.sabotenweb.com/bookmarks/language.html
http://www.thejapanesepage.com/ - this one offers software downloads
http://learnjapanese.elanguageschool.net/
http://www.japanese-online.com/
http://www.worldwidelearn.com/language-courses/learn-japanese.htm
http://www.coscom.co.jp/
http://www.studyjapanese.org/
http://www.word2word.com/coursead.html#japanese

You can join forums on those websites and talk to other people learning Japanese.

If you're serious enough about learning Japanese, you should be fine with those websites, ask questions in class if you don't get them and buy some textbooks! Revise vocab, grammar structure.. etc
