High Uai's (1 Viewer)

Say for UAI's of 98 and above how well would you have to go? And 99?
Obviously I'm not going for the 100 cos they require high 90s for all units, but say I got high 80s for english,
high 90s for extension 2 maths
low 90s for physics and chem and engineering?

Would really love to get 99.3+

if it was last yr, assuming engineering is the one that doesnt count and ur doing advanced english, then just over 99. Around 99.2

u really cant improve much on anything besides english
It's really hard to get into high 90s for chem and phys. if u can get low 90s in english, then u're set for law

ok i did my research....
ppl who did well (band 6) in 4U maths, chemistry and physics only...(the non-english techy ppl) got >99.1, all u need to improve and get 99.4+ is to get another band 6 in 2 units...its daunting that only 2 units (in this case english for me) can stuff up your high 99 mark...

whereas for say 97-99 the effect is not so marked...

yes youre right,.,...u dont need an extra high uai to get in...at least thats what they'd like you to believe...
but the stats for medicine entry talk for themselves...only 1 or 2 ppl got in with UAIs of 95-97....most of the successful candidates had UAIs in the 99s, so yeah although you are technically correct in saying that I shouldnt worry...still it does count for 33 pc of the entrance mark...
Also I knew this guy last year who did extra well in the UMAT and HSC, but stuffed up in the interview....he only got a third round offer for UNSW....
Considering I am going to Get a bad UAI, average UMAT score and average interview score, I really need to improve....
