just wondering who here plays/has played/follows hockey...

talking about field hockey mainly...

there's not enuf following, considering how successful the hockeyroos were a couple of years ago...

yeah man i wish i could play field hockey. i use to for p.e back in year 9 or 10. it was fun...

i would play if there was a team....

i play for north sydney... we're coming =4th/12 this year. big improvements. played sutho last night... we went down 2-1 boo! and i got carded for raising my stick aggressively coz it was hooked on the sutho players stick, and for backchatting the ref. the ref was from our club, otheriwse i wouldnt have backchatted

well i go to a sports high school
so pretty much i follow most sports
playing hockey is quite fun...
but its so hard to play on long grass omg... cant even hit is straight
neways 2 of my mates are in the state team for hockey
u can kick them in the shins and it wont hurt them
pretty cool stuff

i played hockey in year 7... it was boring tho so i switched to netball

OMG! it is imperative that all female hockey players hate netball so thats ok.

yeh chang, its weird playing on grass again. im playing a grass comp this year, havent played on grass in about 6 years or so. such a different game. i suck at it lol. but we have a really good team and we're undefeated so i can cover my shittiness easily. ive scored like 5 goals in the 3 games ive played. pretty cool.

tho i much prefer playing on astro-turf. none of that sand-based stuf. grrr!

hehehe another win for us, 3-1 over Randwick at Randwick. they were coming second to us so maybe itll be another premiership this year?? dont want to jinx us or anything

the other day our college (girls) hockey team lost to wesley college 16-0. yes. sixteen-nil. they (our team) sort of suck. wesley, on the other hand are more or less psychotic.

don't play it myself though.

aww, thats not too good. but at least u guys arent psychotic. "hard core" hockey teams are very scary, it makes u wanna lose just to be able to go home and hide

on grass i play first division in the ryde-eastwood comp, for north sydney

on turf i also play for nth sydney in the sydney metro league

i dont even know the rules i just go on the field and wack it as hard as i can... quite fun ^^

we've won 1/3 games... the only game we won was on my bday ... my birthday present from the other team.. lol
