hey just wondering i got uai seeker 2003
and i was wondering bout what i should be aiming for in each subject for my uai so i used the reverse edition..
i wanna get over 98
i entered that and this is what it gave me according to my strengths in subjects
physics (strong) - 86.7
chemistry (weak) - 75.6
biology (very strong) - 93.8
2u SOR (very strong) - 87.2
adv english (strong) - 87.1
the above are all aligned marks and they are if i wanna get 98 as a uai
just wondering how reliable are the numbers and secondly is it the aligned mark i should be aiming for? thats what i read in the manual but it seemed weird..plz explain.
thanx everyone
good luck for trials

Is UAI seeker that accurate because the marks it gives me to aim for are pretty low too, and I put in uai 99.75!

physics (strong) - 87
chemistry (weak) - 75.4
biology (very strong) - 92.8
2U SOR (very strong) - 92.8
adv english (strong) - 87
the above are scaled hsc marks..

It is accurate, but notice that the percentile which each mark equates to varies wildly between the different years.

Most people don't really have a good grasp of how aligned HSC marks reflect performance, and attempt to compare them to the marks they've been getting at school and so on - this is unfortunate, because it makes the estimating process all the more difficult, but it's something we have to live with...
