I have been told that your marks from assignments and tests are averaged, then thats your mark.. but ive also been told that they just add your percents up and divide it by the number of tasks times 100 (to find the percent if that doesnt make any sense)... does anyone know for sure?/

and also, im really good at assignments that i can research and make drafts of etc. but im not so good at tests.. if i go very well in assignments but okay in tests, will my mark/ranking still be okay??

thanks to anyone who replies :D

You should have a list of the assessment tasks and their weightings. What happens when you do a task is that the raw mark for the task is converted to a mark out of the total of the weighting e.g. a task is worth 20% and you get a reported mark of 84/100. The teacher converts that 84/100 to a mark out of 20 (16.8). When all the tasks are completed all these marks out of the weightings are then added to give a final mark out of 100.
