By looking in your device manager at the type of graphics card. Then do a google on it to find the specs.

Assuming it's configured using correct drivers, and assuming you're on a windows-based system, right click the desktop background, left click properties. When the display properties window comes up, left click the settings tab. About midway down the box it will say something like "Default monitor on NeoMagic MagicGraph256AV", telling you what your card is and the monitor on which it is being used.

From there you can either look up the specs on the card, or post the result here and someone will help :)

it's a solitaire graphics card

as in, u can play those type of games.
ones that don't require the grunt.

if you want to be a gamer, spend money on a decent card. It's pretty pointless trying to find a cheap one, it's most likely dodgy.
but, they are expensive

its important to note here that 3d effects cards are sperate from your AGP cards. 3d effects cards were a PCI slot device, that would help the processing and rendering of your graphics. These are now fairly obsolete as the AGP/PCI-X cards of today over rule the need for an accelerator.
I'm not sure if thats what your asking but its just important to note!

If you want to get a new graphics card, you'll have to make sure your motherboard supports AGP - and if you can AGPx8 (the last standard and highest standard for AGP). That information should be in your motherboard manual, or if you know the brand and model of your motherboard, you could find this out by visiting the manufactures website.
As said previously, on board graphics chips like yours (thats what we are assuming) don't display fantastic graphics, they are more just to get you by kind of thing.

You can go to the motherboard's homepage and then it will usually say what soudn and graphic cards it works with. (You can also find it from teh Graphic cards way- the booklet/pdf usually mentions which motherboards it works with)
