Im confused, what is the most effective way of studying for biology? many suggest past papers, but do i do the past papers with my notes out in front of me? or try to memorise (which is clearly impossible due to sooo much content) and then do the past paper? please help

Look at the 2012 HSC exam questions for about 10 minutes before the HSC exam. This is the best thing you can ever do!

Hey! I think it is best to memorize your notes and then do past papers because in the actual exam you won't have your notes right in front of you and plus, doing past papers reinforces whether you remember everything without your notes. If you are unable to do a topic/question then you know that you need to memorize more on that section. I agree that Biology is content-heavy but if you set short-term goals (maybe memorizing a section of your notes a day?), you'll eventually get there. Work hard and you will be rewarded!
