How hard is it to get a band 6 in Physics? (1 Viewer)

For context, I go to a 110+ school and am ranked 11/50 for physics
we usually get around 6 Band 6's in physics, although we did get 13 a few years ago
basically, how hard is it to Band 6 physics from my position, and what raw mark should i aim for in externals?

really comes down to how strong ur school's cohort is this year. id say ur sitting at an 87-91 internal mark from a rank perspective. since physics usually doesnt do too much alignment (90 raw allgned to 91 in the hsc last year), a 92+ raw in externals should set up for at least a 90 overall. again, this also depends on the difficulty of the external exam so just aim for as high as possible and u should be fine

Based on your school ranking and current ranking within the school, it would be ill advised to place much hope in Physics, especially if you are aiming for a 80+atar. I would recommend, as a prior school careers advisor, to put what little time you hae left before the HSC into other subjects, perhaps technology?

usually ohysics aligns pretty good last year was an outlier because it was really easy
