Ok so can someone please tell me how much impact does your school assessment mark have on your uai?

The School Assessment is worth 50% of your HSC.

It has equal weightings with the HSC exam itself.

So I would say, school assesment marks plays an equal role in determining the type of UAI you will get as the HSC exam.

so what happens if you have a teacher that doesnt like you and always marks you down so your ranking is crap but then you go heaps good in the hsc?

i would imagine that you would complain somewhere, but how do you know? if the teacher is just taking away a few marks here and there..........?

If a teacher is being unfair, it won't make any difference to how the assessment process is run. It's up to you to make these complaints. If you don't then you be at a disadvantage unless you do something about it.

How does a teacher become unfair to you only?

lol..... ive had some teachers hate me before! its horrible.. they just pick on you for no reason at all... i know this happens, and theres not much anyone can do about it...

It's not like they can mark something you got right as wrong.

If you are wrong, then you are wrong.

I guess I'm unfamiliar with unfair teachers since all my teachers are pretty much fair.

hmmm, teachers will mark you as hard as possible, while marking some students very easy, just because they like them, one of my year 10 teachers was like that. I got an E for food tech, just like all the other guys in the class, and all the girls got A's and B's.

that was total bullshit, im a better cook than that idiot teacher herself

Hmm... Well usually something like that can be sorted by talking to the principal or head teacher.

no it can't... ive tried it, i complained about that teacher, and no one seemed to care. she got fired the next year, im not sure if im responsible, but i really hope i was. I hope she dies. She gave me an E for FoodTech! BITCH!

Nah teachers can do it, they can say aload of crap to say u did it wrong, and im sure they have access to the marks, and may be able to modify them if they really hate the student that bad.

yeh like if competition is really strong they can give you an 18 for a brilliant essay and then "the more liked" student 20 and that can be the difference between first and second!

and it really sux cause you cant prove it!

laz, i keep hearing that everythings based on the final exam. and that no matter how crap ur assessment is, if you kill the exams, you will be fine
