How much does half yearly counts for HSC? (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
i just had my HSC half yearly
all the subjects i was quite happy with...
exacept my weak subject... english i went horrible horrible at it
and bio .... average mark.... i think
this is only what i think i havn't got my marks back only eng though.... but horrible like really horrible (didn't fail) lol
so just want to know if you're mark was average,,, in half yrly
can you get Atar 90+ after trial and HSC if you do these really well?

The weightings for raw marks are dependent on what your school allocates them as. You need to ask your school.

As for it's impact on the HSC, well, you get a moderated assessment mark, so gaining as many raw marks is important, but also performing well in the HSC is paramount. So, of course you can get 90+ ATAR. An average mark at your school may be the highest mark in another or the lowest mark in another. Only the HSC will differentiate between school papers and marking, so you need to capitalise on marks in order to maximize your chances of being in a good position going into the HSC.
