So i'm in need of a job and jobs are hard to come by nowadays. So I want to try out being a waiter but don't know where to start, most if not all the jobs advertised on Seek require prior waitering experience. Why can't there be a trainee course to become a waiter, it would be so easy to learn. Anyone know of any courses that teaches you to become a waiter and helps you find work afterwards?

I believe there are short courses offered for servers. I just can't post a url here but you can try Googling it. :)

It is very difficult getting a job without experience.

I would not mind trying out waitering.

I suppose a short course would be an advantage.

1. Get an RSA
2. Read some online guides/youtube tutorials
3. Fake some references if you must
4. Give them maximum availability
5. Start small. Family owned restaurants always need a helping hand.

Cheers
