How to place a pic in a post (1 Viewer)

Hi i would just like to know how u actually place an image in post...i know its probably here some where in this forum but have just got some pretty bad news and am shook up a bit so i can think straight atm....i just want to place a pic in post in memory of someone...thanx for the help in advance

make sure the image is hosted on a site that allows direct linking

and put it between [ img ] http://yourimage.jpg [ /img ]

(without the spaces in between the brackets).
