hsc.. 3 texts or 2 (1 Viewer)

im just wondering im doing standard english and in my speech i did ( about 3 days ago) i only used 2 texts
  • billy elliot - stephen daldry
  • the door - miroslav holub
the teacher said doing 2 was fine but im not so sure it will be alright in the HSC
will i have to do 3 texts in the actual exams.. including my half yearlys... if i do can anyone help with some ideas to maybe song titles that have to do with
' INTO THE WORLD'

the general consensus thatwe've been given in relation of how many to use- is have two Other related texts because questions can be worded "in relation to your prescribed text and TEXTS of you own choosing" as in plural- therefore two and your prescribed is sufficient.
and also to remember you only have fourty minutes to write your essay, then another forty for your other essay etc, so there is no point in doing short analysis of three when you can do in depth analysis of two which can gain you more marks.

We got told a MINIMUM of two for each module, but to have a possible 3, just in case the question doesnt suit one of the other texts.

thats what our teachers said.


Edit: actually, i think we may even go to the same school.
