Hydrogen peroxide is made by quite a few enzymes in the body as a result of the metabolic processes they carry pi in breaking down certain amino and fatty acids.

hydrogen peroxide is a toxic by-product of metabolism, which need to be broken down by catalase, we are innerested in the function of enzymes, not so much the substrates emselves
