hm ok well i have a bit of a dilemma here

well i wanted to get a late round offer to b social science, which was my 1st preference, but instead i got a late round offer to b community welfare, which was my 2nd preference, thats all well and good, i don't mind it at all since they offer similar classes most of the time.....thing is if i accept this and do it, how hard would it be for me to transfer into b social science....would it take a year, or can i do it in a semester?? it's either this or non-award at macquarie for me. Please help.

The higher than credit average is a guarenteed transfer thing.... u wouldn't need that tho for most courses, probably only law...

Other than that i'm pretty sure u apply thru uac at the end of the year and u might only need like a couple of credits.

lol i didnt get an offer!!! daym y did uws have to set a record of offers?? but i called uws yesterday, they said u can transfer to any course u want after 6 months if u get more den credit average....so dats what im plannign to do

Lucky for you, the two degrees are almost the same and they are the same faculty. You could do a straight out BSoSc units in your CommWelfare degree, UWS would let you do that. So when you transfer, all units are credited and its like you were always BSoSc. Guaranteed Internal Transfer requires Credit average, but I am sure UAC application would be easier and less demanding.

you can do mid-year admissions. The advantage is if people drop out of BSoSc, you take their spot.

Yea it's actually higher than credit average, u have to get 1 distinction...

It's less demanding and has almost the same result to just apply thru uac, especially if u're not going for something like law.

Hehe!!! YAY!!! I got into B/social Science!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry i mean the one at Bankstown.... i didn't take your place!!! Now I have to ring UOW and tell them i don't wanna do my course anymore lol... aargh how scary! And def keep b/Social Science as your first pref because I'm guessing that there were prob a few that got offered a spot that they didn't want in the first place.... you are still in with a chance!!!

i changed my prefence when i somehow came across a page on the net that said Psych wasnt offered in the B art course...so i kinda panicked. and then i called up the campus and they were like "uh...no..." hehe, they prob thought i was a lostcase.

UAI-75.2. so i was like "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE DONT LET THE UAI-CUT OFF FOR ARTS GO UP" cos last year it was 74 something. and when i got it was like *hyperventilates* then *faints*
