How could you not like the ad?

I could watch it over and over.

The kid is so natural, and funny.

you are being sarcastic, aren't you?

please say yes.

and then there's that crummy sensative new age american guy "only oreo" voiceover to make it even worse... damn that ad makes toilet paper ads look gritty and hard-edged... :p

Anyone seen that australian pensioners insurance ad?

The one with the senile woman who dances around when she gets the mail?

FUCK! ARGGGHHHHHH!

When that ad comes on, my TV suffers.

Hey i hate ass bread sandwhiches but you don't see me ranting!

But yes that Oreo ad is annoying. I hate how Americans sensationalise everything they have as the best. Half the ads on American TV involve either a woman having an orgasm, or some cheap commentator endorsing their "new-world-order" product, which you must buy since it's American.

Sanchez,

Mate, I predict next year you're going to be an arts student, not wearing shoes, marching on May Day about how you should

"Say NO! To Globalisation!"

You seem to have rather leftist views.

well, to equal this out its not like your gunna advertise a biscuit by saying "its alright. Get one, but don't go out of your way". You gotta sensationalize to at least some extent - by the way I haven't seen the oreo ad in question.

But you could say that the ad, however much you hate has worked cause you obviously haven't forgotten about it have you...

ironically, this thread has convinced the masses that weren't initially bought by the ad to go out and buy oreos anyway.

they're not that amazing, just your average chocolate-with-cream biscuit...

better off buying one of those arnotts trays of a whole stak of biscuits instead and getting some variety in your biscuit-with-cream-filling diet.

Down with ads! They're terrible! Cheesy! The commercial-ness of it all makes me want to jump up and down and shout rude things!

Hmm... I'm perfecting a technique that I'm using to forget ads... It's kind of a litany:

*Forget*
Forget what?
Exactly.

It sounds like a bad joke, I know, but it works for about a minute before the ad returns. If I can keep it forgotten for more than a minute-and-a-half I forget it completely.
One particularily hard Ad to forget is the McDonald's "Give it to me" etc. Ad(s), complete with all its 'I want to be hip and trendy'-ness feel to it. *Shudder*

Haha me a communist? The world could use a few dictators.....

But to be honest I do share a lot of views that come from the socialists. However, most radical parties let their emotions take over their work, and it does lead to very unprofessional behaviour. I am strongly against the Bush Government and their farce that is the "war on terror", and how the Howard Government decided that they so dutifully need to get themselves involved - what with their ever so helpful 200 men and all :)

However, by far my biggest objection is to the refugee situation in Australia, and the apocryphal work of the media to play on societies latent racism. But I'll save that for another rant..

No I do not support Anti-globalisation, it's just way too fleeting a cause (Albeit pointless too). Sure enough capitalism does bug me, but if Australia were to stay in say a protectionist government we'd still be riding horse carriages and using gas lamps.
